Open Dutch Fiber installs new PoP in Amsterdam: fiber optic for 22,000 households.

Today, Open Dutch Fiber has installed a new PoP (Point of Presence) in Fortuinstraat. A PoP is a neighborhood hub of the fiber optic network: the distribution point from which the fiber optic cables enter the streets and homes. This makes the PoP an important link between the network and the house connections.

Joost Steltenpool, Chief Operating Officer at Open Dutch Fiber: "In a compact city center, this work requires precision. Together with our partners and the municipality, we are gradually realizing the fiber optic network on which Amsterdam can build. This PoP is once again a concrete step towards fast, stable, and future-proof connections for everyone in the center."

With this milestone, Open Dutch Fiber emphasizes its ambition to provide urban areas in the Netherlands with an open fiber optic network that offers residents and businesses freedom of choice and reliable, future-proof connections.
