To be able to use superfast fiber internet, you need a subscription with a provider. Open Dutch Fiber is an open fiber optic network. This means that any provider who wants to, can offer services through our network. The availability of providers and where they offer their services can vary from area to area.

We start with excavation work in the street. The sidewalk is partially dug up and we lay the fiber optic cables in the ground. A fiber optic cable is available for each house. The sidewalk is usually neatly closed within one day. Before we start these activities, you will receive a letter and a flyer from us with information. After that, we will (depending on the situation at your address) install the fiber optic connection in the house. Once the provider has installed their services, you can start using super-fast fiber optic.

The fiber optic network of Open Dutch Fiber is open. This means that you can purchase services from various providers who use our network. Odido is often the first provider for internet, TV, and telephony via our fiber optic network in many places, but for example, Fiber.nl, TriNed, SNLR, MultiFiber, Stipte, and Freedom Internet are increasingly providing their services via our network.

Yes, your landlord must give permission for the installation of the fiber optic connection point in your home. We will do our best to make arrangements with your landlord before the work starts in your street.
