Fiber optic is being constructed in phases in Amsterdam

ODF started the installation of fiber optic in early 2022. We have divided each district into different areas. Each area has its own schedule, which will be communicated to the residents.

Amsterdam Center-East

Starting from May 2024, Open Dutch Fiber and KPN will simultaneously install their fiber optic networks in the eastern part of the city center. Due to the simultaneous installation of both networks, the streets will only need to be dug up once, which is crucial due to the historical layout and the busy nature of this part of the city.

On behalf of ODF and KPN, the work is carried out by the contractor Circet, both on the street and inside the house.

The installation of fiber optic in the city center is a major operation that takes a long time, with a significant gap between the installation on the street and in the house before the network can be used. Once your house is scheduled for installation, the contractor will contact you.
