Open network

Our network is open, which means that all providers can offer services on it. Odido is often the first provider for internet, TV, and telephony via our fiber network in many places, but also Fiber.nl, TriNed, SNLR, MultiFiber, Stipte, and Freedom Internet are increasingly offering their services via our network. This way, we provide more and more households access to modern infrastructure and super-fast internet. You can find all active providers on our network here.

The construction process explained step by step

Preparation

To ensure the installation of the network runs as smoothly as possible, we will visit all addresses in advance who will have a fiber optic connection point installed in their home. Together with you, the resident, we will determine where the fiber optic point will be placed in the house. Usually, this is in the utilities cupboard. It is important that you have given permission in advance to have this fiber connection point installed. You can leave your contact details via the website especially for this purpose.

Construction

To connect homes to the our fiber optic network, we need to open up almost all streets. Usually, the street is closed up again within a day and you almost always have neat access to your home again.

During the excavation work, a fiber optic power station is also placed in the vicinity. This power station contains all kinds of important equipment to be able to transmit the signal later on. And this is where the fiber magic for all homes in the area come together.

House Preparation

To ensure the installation of the network runs as smoothly as possible, we will visit all addresses in advance who will have a fiber optic connection point installed in their home. From street to facade

We need to connect the fiber cables from the street to the facade of your house. If your house has a garden in front, we usually draw the cable underground from the street to your house's front door. This method prevents damage to the garden. If you do not live on the ground floor, we need to make sure your the cables are drawn into your building either through an inside route or via the building facade to your apartment, this will be done in consultation with your landlord or Owners' Association. Read more about the installation in high-rise buildings here.

House connection

To set up your house connection, the technician will connect the fiber optic cable to your house. Your house connection point will be installed at the agreed location.

After this, it is up to your fiber optic provider to ensure that the subscription you have chosen will be installed. From now on, you can enjoy ultra-fast and stable internet.
