Many residents are happy to be connected to fiber optic. They appreciate that the connection is free and that they can choose whether to use it. "Sometimes we get the question: when are you finally coming?" says Nikita. "People often need faster internet. We notice that there is a high demand for it."
Personal contact is also appreciated. Technicians consult with residents and take their preferences into account, for example regarding the location of the connection in the house.

Most residents are positive about how the installation is being arranged. They appreciate being well informed in advance through letters, emails, or posters in the hallway. There is also appreciation for the work of the technicians.
"We always ensure clear communication. And we conduct a survey in advance, so residents know what to expect," explains Nikita. "Recently, the technicians were even rewarded with a lunch and a carafe of lemonade by the residents for their work."
However, there are sometimes also concerns. For example, when someone is afraid that something will break in the house. Or if the installation runs through a common area. In that case, Open Dutch Fiber takes extra time to explain everything properly.
How does Open Dutch Fiber handle feedback?
If there are complaints or questions, the team of Open Dutch Fiber always looks for a solution. Sometimes it concerns technical matters, sometimes communication or planning.
"We want to make the process as easy as possible for residents," says Nikita. "That's why we work together with residents, housing associations, and homeowners' associations to arrange everything properly." Through this collaboration, many issues are already prevented before the installation begins.
