17,000 households in Assen will be provided with fiber optic.
Open Dutch Fiber will now also offer super-fast internet via fiber optic in Assen. In total, over 17,000 households in Assen will soon be able to make use of it. The first households will have access to internet via fiber optic with upload and download speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) starting from early 2023. Open Dutch Fiber is once again connecting a large area to fiber optic and thereby making a significant contribution to the further digitalization of the Netherlands.
The activities under the leadership of Open Dutch Fiber started in November 2022 in the neighborhoods of Peelo, Marsdijk, Noorderpark, Pittelo, and Lariks.
