30,000 households in Leiden-Zuid will be provided with fiber optic.
Open Dutch Fiber will now also offer superfast internet via fiber optic in Leiden-Zuid. In total, over 30,000 households in Leiden-Zuid will soon be able to make use of this. It is expected that the first households will have access to internet via fiber optic with speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) starting from early 2023.
The work will start in the neighborhoods of Boerhaavedistrict, Morsdistrict, Stevenshofdistrict, Bosdistrict, and Gasthuisdistrict. Residents will be informed during the installation of the fiber optic network.
