Another 21,000 households in Zoetermeer will receive fiber optic.

Open Dutch Fiber will offer superfast internet via fiber optic to over 21,000 households in Zoetermeer. Now that the first users in the neighborhoods of Seghwaert and Buytenwegh De Leyens are connected to the fiber optic network being installed by Open Dutch Fiber, it is now the turn of the neighborhoods of Centrum and Rokkeveen. In total, almost 50,000 households in Zoetermeer will soon be able to use superfast internet via fiber optic.

Far beyond 250,000

The total number of connections that Open Dutch Fiber has announced since April 2021, including the 21,000 additional households in Zoetermeer, far exceeds 250,000. They are well on their way to providing 1 million Dutch households with super-fast internet via fiber optic. Open Dutch Fiber is once again connecting a large area to fiber optic. The work will start in January 2022 and will be completed by October 2022. The first homes will be connected in April 2022. This year, more projects will be announced outside of Zoetermeer.
