Open Dutch Fiber signs Code of Conduct for Safe Construction of Digital Infrastructure
On 30 November 2023, Open Dutch Fiber signed the Code of Conduct for Safe Construction of Digital Infrastructure. With the Code of Conduct, we will work more closely with contractors and other telecom network managers and operators to promote safety in the construction of data and telecom networks.
Floris van den Broek, CEO of Open Dutch Fiber: "We are happy with this collaboration. Our goal is to carry out the installation of fiber optic cables as safely and efficiently as possible and to minimize social disruption. To achieve this, we seek collaborations throughout the entire chain. The code of conduct is a great starting point to continue working together towards a safe installation process."
Mathieu Andriessen, director of NLconnect: "Open Dutch Fiber is one of the parties rapidly providing our country with fiber optic connections. Thanks to the large-scale deployment of ODF, our country remains an international leader in connectivity. Fiber optic is the essential digital infrastructure for the future, but the rapid deployment also comes with challenges. Therefore, it is good news that ODF is joining the code of conduct. Only together can we ensure the safety of workers during the installation of telecom networks."
The Code of Conduct is an initiative of Techniek Nederland and NLconnect.
