20,000 households in Heerlen-Zuid will be provided with fiber optic.
Open Dutch Fiber will now also offer super-fast internet via fiber optic in Heerlen-Zuid. In total, over 20,000 households in Heerlen-Zuid will soon have access to this offer. It is expected that the first households will be able to use internet via fiber optic with speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) from April 2023.
The work under the leadership of Open Dutch Fiber has started in the neighborhoods of Eikenderveld, Heerlen-Centrum, Molenberg, Bekkerveld, Wetten-Benzenrade, Caumerveld-Douve Weien, and Heerlerbaan. Residents will be informed during the installation of the fiber optic network.
