Open Dutch Fiber provides fiber optic to 16,000 households in Rotterdam Hoogvliet.
In Rotterdam Hoogvliet, more than 16,000 addresses will have access to super-fast internet via fiber optic from Open Dutch Fiber. It is expected that the first households will be able to use internet via fiber optic from August 2023. The work will be carried out under the leadership of Open Dutch Fiber starting in March 2023 in the Hoogvliet district. Residents will be kept informed about the work.
CEO Floris van den Broek: "Approximately half of all Dutch people now have access to high-speed internet via fiber optic. Compared to other countries in Europe, we are lagging behind in this respect. High-quality and reliable fiber optic connections are essential for the Netherlands and necessary for many applications such as remote working and healthcare."
