More than 5,000 addresses in Waterland to be equipped with fiber optic by Open Dutch Fiber.
In Waterland, almost 5,400 addresses will have access to the internet via fiber optic from Open Dutch Fiber. Open Dutch Fiber is once again connecting a large area to fiber optic and making a significant contribution to the further digitalization of the Netherlands. The first addresses will be able to use internet via fiber optic starting from June 2023.
The addresses are divided between Monnickendam and Broek in Waterland. The work will start in February 2023 and the residents will be informed about this by Open Dutch Fiber.

Compared to other countries in Europe, we are lagging behind in this aspect.
