Manager Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager plays a crucial role within the organization by auditing completed work, testing, and evaluating.

(Full-time - 40 hours)

What are you going to do?

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager plays a crucial role within the organization by auditing completed works, assessing and evaluating ongoing work, and initiating efforts to improve the quality both during construction and in the delivery phase. The QA Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality program with clear quality standards and procedures. The role requires in-depth knowledge of FttH construction processes including Specifications and Requirements, regulations, legislation, and quality management systems. The QA Manager works closely with the passive Infrastructure architect, project managers, internal and external auditors, and contractors to ensure compliance with the quality program. Additionally, you will act as Deputy Director of Operations.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

Development and Implementation of Quality Program:

  1. Designing and implementing quality management systems.

  2. Developing and updating quality policy, procedures, and work instructions.

Continue testing on the specifications and Requirements Document.

  1. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  2. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations

Quality control and assurance:

  1. Performing internal and external audits to ensure quality standards, throughout multiple project phases from the start of construction to completion.

  2. Reviewing project plans, work instructions, contracts, specifications, drawings, and requirements to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  3. Monitoring the implementation of quality inspections and tests.

Leadership and Training:

  1. Setting up a QA organization

  2. Leading and coaching quality controllers and inspectors.

  3. Developing and providing training and workshops on quality awareness and procedures.

Complaints Management and Process Improvement:

  1. Analyzing complaints and quality issues, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.

  2. Continuously improve construction processes and management processes through Lean Six Sigma or other methodologies.

  3. Reporting quality performance to management and recommending improvement measures.

Stakeholder Management:

  1. Communicating with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to manage quality expectations.

  2. Collaborating with project managers and other functional leads to develop integrated quality solutions.

Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of deployment methodologies, fiber optic networks, asset management, materials, and regulations.

  • Experience with quality management systems and standards.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, designs, and specifications.

  • Expertise in asset management system Cocon, construction applications Geostruct, Fiberconnect and/or related systems.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses.

  • Data analysis skills to monitor quality indicators and trends.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.

  • Skill in managing conflicts and negotiations.

Organizational Skills:

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a quality role within the construction sector, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.

  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar are a plus.
