What does a grid operator do?
The network operator is the company responsible for the network in your street and home. In the case of fiber optic, this means the party that installs and maintains the cable. The network operator ensures that the network functions and that your home is properly connected.
"My provider delivers the services, such as internet or TV," says Nikita. "But the network operator ensures that the connection exists at all."
When it comes to gas or electricity, you also have a network operator, but that is something different from your energy supplier. It's the same with fiber optic.

"If the provider sees that the problem is with the cable, then they will involve us," says Nikita. "We will then come to resolve it." So, you don't need to know who the network operator is yourself.
