Perhaps you once signed up for fiber, but the connection has not yet been installed. Or maybe you regret saying “no” at the time and now want to sign up after all. Good news: you can always request a fiber connection again. But how does that work exactly? And how do you know if your home can still be connected?
How do you reapply for a fiber connection?
Reapplying for a fiber connection works the same as applying for the first time. You always start by checking your address with the zip code check. This allows you to see immediately whether your home can still be included.
According to Jeroen, this is the easiest step: “The zip code check provides immediate clarity. You can see right away whether the connection is still possible and whether we are active in your neighborhood.” Is your home still open in the system? Then you can reapply and we will schedule an appointment as soon as it is technically possible. Sometimes this can be done quickly, sometimes only when a construction crew returns to the neighborhood.
Reapplying for a fiber connection: step by step
Do the zip code check and enter your zip code and house number.
See what is listed for your address, for example, whether connection is still possible.
Re-register if possible and leave your details.
Wait for confirmation and scheduling of the appointment.
Make sure you are at home at the agreed time so that the technician can install the connection.
Can I request a connection if I previously said “no”?
Yes, almost always. Many residents change their minds later when fiber become more popular or when they switch to a new provider. In many cases, we can reconnect your home. Sometimes a new appointment needs to be scheduled, sometimes the connection is made when a construction team is working in your neighborhood again. According to Jeroen, this is quite normal: “Many residents sign up later. As long as it is technically possible, we will still connect the home.”
Why can't the connection always be made immediately?
Not every home can be reconnected immediately. It depends on the technical planning in your street or building. Sometimes part of the network has to be completed first.
Other examples:
● In apartment buildings, several neighbors may have to participate at the same time.
● A cable route must be completely open.
● A missing FTU (fiber point) blocks the route.
Jeroen explains: “In an apartment building, we build a network for the entire building. If we are missing one component, we cannot complete the route.” That is why it can sometimes take a while before we can reschedule your connection.

Find the internet subscription that suits your address
Want to know which internet-only subscriptions are available at your address? With the ODF internet comparison tool, you can check this in one go. After entering your address, you will immediately see which providers are available, what speeds they offer, and what you will pay per month. Once you have found a suitable package, you can proceed directly to the provider. They will arrange the switch and activate your connection. This makes it easy to choose a package that suits your household and your budget.
