24,000 households in Maastricht receive fiber internet

The 24,000 households are divided across the neighborhoods of Jekerdal, Villapark, Biesland, Mariaberg, Campagne, Wolder, Daalhof, Belfort, Brusselsepoort, Pottenberg, Malpertuis, Caberg, Malberg, and Oud Caberg. The work will start in September 2022 under the leadership of Open Dutch Fiber. The first households have been using fiber since October 2022.

“Maastricht is a city of connectedness. Therefore, the best possible digital connections are also part of it. As a dynamic knowledge region, it is important for our residents and entrepreneurs to have access to fast internet. Fiber helps us optimize the digital facilities in our city, so we are pleased that Open Dutch Fiber will start the installation in Maastricht-West in the near future,” says alderman John Aarts of the municipality of Maastricht.

High-quality and reliable fiber connections

Open Dutch Fiber only installs fiber in areas where there is currently no fiber optic to ensure that the whole of the Netherlands has access to competitive services via fiber as soon as possible.
