Another 23,500 addresses in Amsterdam will be connected to the fiber network of Open Dutch Fiber. Residents in Oud-West will soon have access to super fast internet via a fiber connection with upload and download speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second. It is expected that the first addresses will be able to use internet via fiber from the end of July. The work started in June 2023.

Open Dutch Fiber is working on the rollout of fiber to over 2 million addresses by 2025. With Amsterdam Oud-West, Open Dutch Fiber is once again connecting a large area to fiber, making a substantial contribution to further digitalization of the Netherlands.
High-quality and reliable fiber connections
"Fast internet through reliable fiber connections is essential for the Netherlands and necessary for many (future) applications such as remote working and remote healthcare. Open Dutch Fiber is building an open fiber network to provide everyone in the Netherlands access to the best telecom infrastructure", says Floris van de Broek, CEO of Open Dutch Fiber.
