Leidschendam, Voorburg and Stompwijk
Open Dutch Fiber, in collaboration with Odido, offers incredibly fast internet via fiber optic to over 37,000 households in Leidschendam and Voorburg. Additionally, it has been agreed with the municipality to also install fiber optic in Stompwijk and the rural area of Leidschendam.
Stompwijk
The installation of fiber optic in Stompwijk (1) and the rural area (2) as indicated on the map started in April 2023 with the placement of the neighborhood hub in Stompwijk. From there, the fiber optic cables are pulled through the street/sidewalk to the houses.

Open Dutch Fiber will offer superfast internet via fiber optic in Leidschendam-Voorburg. Open Dutch Fiber intends to provide the entire municipality with superfast fiber optic and will start with the installation in Leidschendam. In total, more than 37,000 households will soon be able to use superfast internet via fiber optic.

Accelerate with responsibilities
The story of Open Dutch Fiber (ODF) starts in 2021 with a mission: to connect 1 million Dutch addresses by 2025. This ambition has now been revised to 2 million, which can only be achieved through acceleration. ODF focuses on laying fiber optic cables where they are not yet available. This is mainly the case in urban areas, posing both a challenge and an opportunity. Many other providers have neglected urban areas due to the challenges they present. Limited space results in increased regulatory pressure.
