13,000 households in Purmerend will be provided with fiber
In Purmerend, 13,000 households will have access to superfast internet via fiber optic from Open Dutch Fiber. The first households have been using internet via fiber optic with speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) since the beginning of 2023. Open Dutch Fiber is once again connecting a large area to fiber optic, making a significant contribution to the further digitalization of the Netherlands.

ODF's fiber network reaches milestone of 1 million households
Open Dutch Fiber (ODF) is building an open fiber optic network at record speed, and they have now reached the milestone of 1 million fiber optic connections. The company, founded in April 2021, initially aimed to connect 1 million Dutch households within 5 years, but has already achieved this in just 2.5 years. The company, which aims to contribute to accelerating digitalization, has already increased its ambition earlier this year to reach 2 million fiber optic connections by 2025.
