Open Dutch Fiber starts construction of high-speed fiber optic network in Zoetermeer.
In the neighborhoods of Seghwaert and Buytenwegh de Leyens, the first users will be connected to the fiber optic network being installed by Open Dutch Fiber before the end of 2021. Other neighborhoods will follow afterwards. An innovative installation method is being used, allowing work to be done up to five times faster. The network in the northern part of Zoetermeer will be completed by the end of 2022. After that, Open Dutch Fiber also plans to connect the remaining neighborhoods of Zoetermeer.
Another 21,000 households in Zoetermeer will receive fiber optic.
Open Dutch Fiber will offer superfast internet via fiber optic to over 21,000 households in Zoetermeer. Now that the first users in the neighborhoods of Seghwaert and Buytenwegh De Leyens are connected to the fiber optic network being installed by Open Dutch Fiber, it is now the turn of the neighborhoods of Centrum and Rokkeveen.
