Who are we?

Open Dutch Fiber (ODF) is a fast-growing Dutch organization that provides households with access to fast and reliable internet. With our open fiber network, multiple telecom providers can offer their services to end users. Together with our partners, we work towards a high-quality internet connection at a fair price.

Now that the construction phase is largely complete, we are focusing on further growth, reliable service delivery, and efficient business operations. A professional IT environment and a well-organized office are indispensable in this regard.

The challenge

Colleagues need to be able to work without hassle every day, both in the office and digitally. This requires someone who quickly picks up on disruptions and practical questions, maintains oversight, manages suppliers where necessary, and sees opportunities to organize things just a little smarter.

The role

We are looking for a practical, service-oriented colleague who enjoys variety. One moment you help someone with a laptop or Teams meeting, the next you arrange a workstation for a new colleague or coordinate a facilities repair. You are visibly present, handle matters independently, and know when to call in specialist support.

Your responsibilities

IT Operations & Workplace Support

  • Being the first point of contact for daily IT questions and disruptions; registering, resolving, and following up on reports.

  • Installing, issuing, and managing laptops, monitors, phones, peripherals, and other workplace equipment.

  • Providing support with Microsoft 365, Teams, meeting room equipment, printers, and connectivity issues.

  • Preparing IT onboarding and offboarding, including equipment, accounts, and access rights in accordance with applicable procedures.

  • Maintaining equipment and inventory records, work instructions, and user documentation; coordinating with IT specialists and suppliers.

Office & Facility

  • Ensuring a safe and well-functioning office environment in Bunnik and our other offices.

  • Coordinating daily facilities matters, such as maintenance, disruptions, and minor repairs.

  • Organizing workstations, access passes, and the onboarding of new colleagues.

  • Coordinating with building management and external service providers, and supporting office changes, meetings, and facilities improvements.

Team and collaboration

You work closely with colleagues from IT Operations, HR, Finance, and the various business departments. You also have regular contact with suppliers and facilities service providers. You combine a customer-oriented attitude with the ability to set priorities, even when multiple requests come in simultaneously. Since the office environment is an important part of the role, you will predominantly work on-site in Bunnik.

When are you successful in this role?

  • Colleagues receive quick and friendly help with IT and facilities questions and know who to turn to.

  • Workstations, meeting rooms, and office facilities are available, well-maintained, and reliable.

  • New colleagues can get off to a good start from day one, with working equipment and a set-up workstation.

  • Reports, inventories, equipment, and agreements with suppliers are well-organized and up to date.

  • Recurring issues are identified and, where possible, structurally resolved or simplified.

Job profile: who are we looking for?

Knowledge and experience

  • MBO level 4 or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in IT, facilities management, or a comparable field.

  • Experience in IT support, workplace management, office management, or facilities management; you do not need to be a specialist in both areas.

  • Good basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and common office equipment; knowledge of Intune or Entra ID is a plus.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and coordinate with external suppliers.

  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English and a professional, service-oriented attitude.

This describes you

  • You are proactive, thorough, and take action without waiting.

  • You enjoy working on both technical and organizational matters.

  • You maintain oversight, can set priorities, and handle information and access resources with discretion.

  • You are flexible and enjoy fulfilling a visible role in the office.

What can you expect from us?

At Open Dutch Fiber, you will find yourself in an ambitious and informal organization where collaboration, entrepreneurship, and personal development are central. In this broad role, you can make a direct difference for your colleagues.

  • A salary between €3,200 and €4,500 gross per month based on 40 hours.

  • A versatile role with room to implement improvements yourself.

  • Direct contact with colleagues from across the organization and a dedicated IT team.

  • Excellent employment conditions, including holiday pay, pension scheme, bonus scheme, travel expense reimbursement, and 30 days of annual leave.

  • An informal working atmosphere and lunches regularly provided by ODF.
